Raised in Hawaii and a Punahou graduate, David has always been passionate about helping people, acquiring knowledge and solving puzzles. His passion fueled a successful 20-year consulting career and an extensive formal education including a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University, a M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Since 1997 David has been applying the same research and analytical skills which kept him at the forefront of the rapidly changing technology field to defining suitable financial plans and investment strategies for family and friends who recognized his growing base of knowledge in these areas.

Recognizing the critical need for financial advisors who holistically address clients' financial lives based on sound, academically-proven strategies without the embedded conflicts of interest plaguing most advisors in the industry, David established Pathfinder Financial Services, LLC in 2003.

Through a rigorous regiment of continuous education activities from conferences and coursework to staying abreast of the latest academic research and product developments, and by seeking out the best practitioners for services such as estate planning attorneys, mortgage brokers, insurance agents and CPAs, David ensures his clients receive the highest quality service and advice possible.

Blessed with three children and a wonderful wife, David loves outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, golf and scuba diving along with quiet times for reading, reflection and intimate conversations with friends and loved ones.
